The Abiy Negussie Humanitarian Organisation (ANHO) is a charitable organisation that was formally registered in Ethiopia [Charity Number 0410] in early 2007. It was established in order to assist street children and their families in Addis Ababa with financial support, health care and educational assistance. The key objectives of ANHO are: - To re-unite street children with their biological families.
- To integrate street children into foster families.
- To provide financial support to street children through their families and foster families.
- To provide health care and educational support to street children through their families and foster families.
When ANHO was first launched in 2007 we provided full financial support to the families of 25 street children. ANHO's work has now expanded to the extent that it is providing full financial support to the families of 75 street children. ANHO has ambitious plans to roll out financial support to 250 street children and their families within the next three years. ANHO is affiliated in the UK with its sister organisation, the Horn of Africa Street Children Limited [UK Charity Number 1126775] . The Horn of Africa Street Children Limited is a stakeholder in various projects that ANHO is looking to implement. |
